Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2013, which is co-organized by China Disabled Persons’ Federation and National Ageing Committee, was held from Oct. 10 to 12, 2013 in China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.
Care & Rehabilitation Expo China is the only national-level show for medication, rehabilitation, home care, assistive devices and etc. for the disabled and elderly in China. In this sector, it is the show with vastest influence, biggest scale and widest variety of exhibits. During the last few years, it has been developed into a whole-range platform covering not only assistive technology, but also service system and policy trend.
This year, there were more than 270 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions such as the USA, Japan, Sweden and Italy with more than 8500 kinds of exhibits, covering medical rehabilitation equipments, daily living aids, mobility aids, caring products, communication assistive devices, barrier-free facilities, entertainment devices, orthopedics, prosthetics, management system and etc. Not only the “hardware” but also the “software” such as system, methods and concept will be shown, including training system and its matching equipments capable to delay physical and psychological failure of the elderly, shoe-pads to relieve the joint pain, various solutions for hearing disabilities, welcab adaptation equipments designed by domestic companies, wheelchairs for multi-disabled persons and complicated environment, orthopedics for different diseases and so on. Specifically, therapists from different countries came to the show to give free treatment as well.
Besides, 8 forums, 3 technical seminars and several new-tech release workshops were held during the show, including The Third Special Education Forum, The First International ICF Summit, ISO/TC/173/SC1/WG Meetings and Forum and so on.
During the three days, there were totally 98,195 visitors. Yong Wang, State Councilor of PRC, Haidi Zhang, Chairman of China Disable Persons Federation and other VIPs visited the show. CCTV, BTV, NHK and etc over 100 medias reported.
